Daymares, Books, and Ah Pook for Ah Pooks sake

I had a midterm I didn't study for today. I cant help but feel that my life is turning into those really awkward situational nightmares. I keep expecting to Find myself in McDonald's ordering a taco, and pizza while I'm naked. I hope I haven't done that already. anyways... I think I did pretty well on it. I'm not sure. I don't really care if I did or didn't. Its not really gonna make or break me (self esteem wise anyways).

I just bought some books Portraits of Ideas, Lao Tsu and Wu Wei, and The Devil. the first one has what i like to think of as short odes to the greatness of some of the most influential thinkers in western culture, my only drawback of the book is there is no women, no people of color and no one still alive in this book. I would love if someone where to do this on a much smaller scale. so I decided to start a new monthly feature to my blog Portraits of the Mundane I'm gonna highlight the lives, the ideas, and beliefs of the people living in my area.

the second book is about Taoism. I haven cracked it yet, but i have always tried to maintain a sense of PU (state of being Unchanged by the forces of authority) otherwise known as the uncarved block. I did a lot of research into the Taoist philosophy and find that I really like it.

The last book is about the devil obviously. Its a collection of short stories meant to illustrate his many forms and functions in the world. I think we all have a little essence of evil in all of us. I went a step ahead of the lot of most of you and named mine. I call him M(short for Mephistopheles). anyways I like reading things of this nature and now I just got a new book on my wish list so if anybody has an extra copy of this next book just lying around I'll be glad to take it off your hands. its called My Idea of fun by Will Self. well I'm afraid I have to delve back into the odd lucid dream that I call life, so Ill leave you with this

its called Ah Pook the narration is William S. Burroughs
